I’m a huge fan of less.
I read Stuffocation many years ago and it is a seminal book that completely changed my outlook.
Upon completion of the book, I went into overdrive with clearing out stuff.
If it wasn’t stuck down, it went on eBay.
Less is definitely more in my life.
I ask myself before I buy something, how much time is this item going to cost me.
In cleaning, maintaining and what I do at end of it’s life.
Each spring, I have a itch to declutter.
But I have less and less things to declutter.
This spring I have found myself decluttering paperwork and books.
Well, maybe one book.
But I have also gone deeper. And been decluttering things from my brain.
Like the limiting beliefs I have.
Stories I have told myself that don’t serve me any more.
And beneath all of that clutter, I have found some space.
A space for me to plant some new seeds.
New stories to grow,
I just need to remember to water them and not let the weeds grow back.
