Privilege

It has been the greatest privilege of my life doing the school run with you.

And in the blink of an eye, you are at the end of primary school.

Watching you run into school and run out at 3.30 every day, straight into my arms, are memories I will treasure forever.

Telling me everything you have done and what you have learned every day has been worth all the struggle of juggling a business in school hours.

I’m a big believer in the ethos of you get out of life what you put in. Even more so now I get to watch you naturally live that. Looking back through your reports, all the teachers talk about your enthusiasm and your inquisitive nature. Hold onto that for dear life Seth.

You always look for the good, never change that. It’s the biggest lesson you have taught me.

But even more than that, never ever curb your enthusiasm. You have never not given everything your all and been excited about everything you try. Even if that has meant buying you a new bit of kit for every sport known to man.

You’ve been at school learning for 8 years Seth. I’ve also been to school with you as my teacher. You’ve taught me so much about how life should be lived.

And now onto your next adventure of high school and I cannot wait to watch you grow and for me to learn my new curriculum. My lessons from you will continue.

Thanks for holding my hand Seth, each and every day.

It’s been magic.
